We currently have a vacancy for a HCA

The Administrative Team

The practice has a large team who work collaboratively to provide high quality patient and practice care. The administration is based at Rutland Lodge.

Practice Manager

Paula Dearing
Paula is responsible for the overall smooth running of the practice. She is here Tuesdays to Friday and is happy to deal with queries, complaints or any suggestions you may have.

Deputy Practice Manager

Liz Watson
Liz is deputy to Paula and is in the practice most days. She supports Paula with the smooth and efficient running of the practice.

Medical Secretaries

The medical secretaries are responsible for typing correspondence and liaising with the hospitals and other agencies.

The receptionists are fully trained and are there to help you with whatever queries you may have. They are bound by the same confidentiality rules as the clinical teams.

Other Administrative Staff

Other administrative staff are responsible for managing ‘Choose and Book’ hospital referrals, data entry and security and ensuring that all medical records are kept up to date.

If You Are Advised To Contact A District Nurse

Ring the district nurses on 0113 842 3355. The district nurses help with nursing care at home for those patients who have just been released from hospital or who require continued nursing care at home.

If you are caring for someone who is terminally ill at home, the district nurses care may be supplemented by Macmillan care nurses or palliative care nurses.

If You Are Advised To Contact A Health Visitor

Health visitors are primarily concerned with baby and child welfare, especially in the early days after delivery. You can contact them by ringing 0800 731 0640, 0113 247 4386 or by visiting their website at (Have your postcode ready to hand.)

Medical Students

Ours is a training practice for medical students. From time to time Year 3 and Year 4 students sit in with our GPs as part of their training. We feel that we are playing a valuable role in the education of the next generation of doctors, and feedback from ‘real’ patients in the GP surgery is an important part of their learning.

When we are training students it is always helpful to have patients who are willing to give their time to be examined by our students.  Please speak to the reception team if you are interested in participating.
